Hey Rick,

Are Taxi cabs allowed to play? I'm starting to come down from yesterdays Lanier Speedway thrill fest. You guys missed a great time. I'm sure Terry will have a write up soon, but I need another fix soon.

Dennis,

Don't ask him about going to Talladega because we want some track time not have to help him push his car off the track. :rotf:

BTW, you can now sign up on line for the event at:

https://secure.scmcstore.com/store/home.php?cat=2

Thanks!

You're just jealous Tony, that 1.25 mile track is made for slow cars like yours not for cars with real HP like mine. AND FOR THE RECORD: I have never been pushed, pulled, towed etc. off of any track that I've been on....now out of the pits maybe another thing!

Actually, they did set up a pretty nice agenda for their organization. They are doing a social gathering, drag day on Saturday at Steele, and road course at Talladega on Sunday all in one weekend. Also, try to remember...they are helping to offset the cost of the weekend for the club. This is also their first event like this so I know how that feels going into an event blind.

Actually what happened was SCMC had just rented Saturday. The Suprashootout folks had tenatively taken Sunday and they were getting enough entries to rent the track. Just when they had enough SCMC had requested Sunday and put down a deposit for it. The SCMC folks were nice enough to accomodate the Suprashootout entrants which helps everyone. The Suprashootout is a multi day event and the track day was to add to the dyno/drag/and show n shine. It should be a nice mixer between american iron and japanese rice on sunday.

I will have my little four banger CRX Si there. Try to be gentle with it.

Glad you folks are coming out. I am glad this worked out for everyone. I know we will have some american iron vs japanese rice trash talk going but as for being gentle I doubt we will have too! The fastest time every put down at our 411 events in Knoxville were by an MR2!!! He just ran the morning sessions and his times stood for the rest of the day againest all challengers including a bunch of Mustangs, Cobras, Corvettes and Taxi Cabs  .
