Well the day is here and the car is ready, thanks to Bumberra's for the tunning and David M for getting some minor steering issues fixed in time to be able to run this event. Larry and myself are off tonight to run the Cobra R and the Black O3. Last event time was 167 MPH in the mile hope to better that this trip with the extra 100 HP. Will post times upon return next week.

I HAVE SELF CONTROL/ More bull **** from the liar.

OK,ok, so I have no ss sself control.............. :rotf:

Good luck you two. Carl, Add some 104 GT Plus to the tank before the running and it should pick up some more with the timing.

Cool!! I'm doing something VERY similar next weekend here in NC. http://www.ecta-lsr.com/index.htm Good luck to you, I'm hoping to break the street class record of 184.??. Maybe next year join the 200MPH club, but to do that I will have to change the gears out and go back to 3.27's.

ok, ok, Top Speed--- 175 in 1 mile! Not to bad for the 4000# car. We out ran most of the vette's except one. A twin turbo did 190. Most of all the cars were running spray and turbo's . We did well and the good news is the car is in one piece and motor is in still together. now it's on to MSR in December. Have to get car set up now for Track event

The top we had to use a little rope to help hold it in place. the difference is about 3-4 mph with top down, which we did run 171.3 with it down. I think with a better spoiler on the back and lowering we could get to 180 with no more HP adders.

That all makes sense. To go 11 mph faster than last year it required an additional 125 HP at that speed. I know my tires did not have enough air pressure for this event. Larry even told me so, I should have listened. Great link buddy.

Carl,

That is awesome man! Great to see a Mustang beat the Vettes!!

I would think however that you are probably close to being tapped out because of the wind resistance and other aerodynamic factors. Still, this is amazing speed given your car is a Mustang (and not a GT) AND is a vert and not a coupe! :bounce:
