So on Thursday, my 4.30 gears go in with MM aluminum differential bushings and MM full-length subframe connectors. I was considering 4.10's/polyurethane bushings/and kenny brown extreme matrix. can anyone talk me out of the setup im going with?

Nope can't. I maybe would go with the 4.10's though.

I originally was going to go with the 4.10's but people have told me that you have to shift into fourth just before the end of the strip. I like the 4.10 b/c i want to keep some decent highway mileage, but I guess the 4.30's will just ecourage me to not speed on the highway. I will use install a NX kit at Chirstmas and I fear the fourth gear shift with the 4.10s will not get this giggle gas. But then again, I dont know.

4.30s will be just fine if not perfect. The difference between 4.10s and 4.30s is extremely small but enough to really help out at the strip (with traction). Gas mileage between the two will be pretty much exactly the same.

Go for it.

With 3.73s, I'm reving around 2550-2600 RPMs at 80. With my tire size (265/40/18), I'll be reving 2900 at 80 w/4.30s, so it's not hat big a diff....

Go 4.30s....I'm about to. :thumbsup:

the 4.30's along with alum diff bushing and mm full length subframes will be installed once the parts get in. Cant actually drive it until I see the Cobra again at Thanksgiving. Next step is to start putting together a list of parts for a NX 100-400 shot. I just cant decide if I want to install the nitrous over Thanksgiving or drive the car during my holiday and install nitrous at Christmas???

I had 4.30's put in a couple of years ago. I don't regret it at all. Definately made the car feel like it gained 50hp. You will need some serious tires to keep traction in 1st with them. I haven't tried full throttle in my car in 1st gear yet...(I don't have serious tires, i.e. drag radials)

BTW, what year is your Cobra?

What kind of gains did you get with the MagnaFlow X and the JLT?

Which one made the most difference in power?

I only get to see my 99 cobra maybe every other month so I usually install in bunches. I had the JLT one for about 8hrs before I put on the magnaflow X and CB. The JLT rocks. Magnaflow X and CB sound awesome, but not too loud on the highway. I would say I felt more power from the JLT but that might be b/c it was on before the exhaust. I'm sorry I dont have any dyno numbers, but its a great combo worth every penny.
