I have an '03 Cobra. Factory wheels are 17x9 with 275/40s on them. Why go with 10.5 if all you want is 275 ?

I have 18x10's on my 04 with 285/35's mounted on them. They used to be on my 01 before trade in time. It all depends on the inner offset of the wheel. All I have is less than half inch clearance between the side wall of the tire and the IRS bolts. If that extra half inch sticks out instead of inside you should not have any problems. If you do find you have issues, you can always go with a wheel spacer to compensate for the lack of clearance (if it sticks out too far it will rub the fender when you go over bumps or uneven pavement, if you lowered your car).
