just wondering what about the widths everyone has, i currently have 245's and tires are going out, so im getting new ones. I had 275's on my ws6 and they caught great grip, im thinking some more nitto555's. any suggestions?

thanks guys:thumbsup:

I run on NT555 streets 255/45 17 fronts & 285/40 17 rears on sn95 Cobra R 9" rims. On Track 00 Cobra R 9" rims 275/40 17s.

If you have the stock 8" rims, stick with 245 or 255. Your best bet it to look at the mfg web site for the sizing chart on the tires you are interested in - none that I have seen rate their 275's for anything less than a 9" rim. The Nitto 555's for example:

245R45 - 7.5-9.0
255R45 - 8.0-9.5
255R40 - 8.5-10.0
275R40 - 9.0-11.0

You can physically fit a 275R40 tire on the 8" rim but it will not fit properly, you will loose cornering stability, and they will run hotter.

Unless you are talking about the Nitto 555R2 road race tires...

I like these for both street and track... Actually... I love them :D

NT RII are the one's I'd like to use for the track.
