Todd, Stan and others...

Here's the place I got my rotors from...

http://www.kvrperformance.com/store/

FYI
Bear/Performance Friction and most of the others 2 piece rotors will not work with the Brembo 00R calipers...KVR 2 piece rotor hats will :D

If you have any questions please call Terry Gosse @ 1-800-636-0854...
He also owns a 03 Cobra :D

Is it just me????

Or does $595.00 per rotor assm. sounds like a lot of ching???

Or is that where ...
("If you have any questions please call Terry Gosse @ 1-800-636-0854...") ...kicks in some kind of sweetheart discount???

Are these floaters??
Are they required with the Brembo pinchers???(I know the stockers can crack eventually @ the hat but for $69.00 a piece... ;) stockers are pretty cheap)

I'll probably do the calipers first... and see how things go... since they come with a set of rotors anyway...

The other advantage to these is unsprung weight.... right???
Are the blanks pretty cheap(rotor alone)???

Is that enough questions in one post??? :chairshot ;)

1. Yes I paid $499 per set..Brembo 2 piece rotors are around $750+

2. Terry may give you a deal

3. Yes they are required with the Brembo 4 piston pinchers

4. True unsprung weight helps

5. Rotor blanks are around $90.00

Thanks Dave!!!
(I need to keep up with my reading over there!!!)

You mentioned $499. per set... a set being hat and rotor... or a set being hat and rotor for both sides???

Dave..... I have seen guys running stock cast one piece rotors with those calipers....

What is the actual skinny on the down sides of doing that...
Since I have 2 sets of 1 piece rotors right now...

EDIT!!!! Holy crap!!! That freaking thread rocks !!! There is a TON of good info on there for all versions of Mustangs 79-04!!!

$499 both sides....hats, rotors and titanium hardware :D

You can run one piece rotor...No problem

I put about five sets of front rotors on my car in two years of OTing..

My biggest fear is having a front brake rotor crack in half...It's not going to be a fun ride. :(

But you are going a WHOLE LOT FASTER than I am or will be for the forseeable future...

Translation.... I'm really liking this Focus RS caliper option!!!

Now I need to think of a way to sell this idea.... hmmm

"Honey...brakes are a major safety item... and these will eventually cost less in replacement pads too!!!".......... How am I doing???

Focus calipers are the way to go

Use the safety line...It works for me all the time

FYI....a set of brake pads will run ya about $190 to $235 Don't use that line ;)

Still not going to happen overnight... but I've got another possible New York real estate transaction pending that may facilitate... some new binders for DADDY!!! :naughty:

It might even allow for some dedicated track rims and perhaps a set of sticky sneakers...:naughty:

I am pretty sure the R style pads in that caliper will last longer than 2 events... at my level

So overall they should be cheaper to use... I'll run those funky Focus RS pads with the weird pins on the street... Till they are gone.. then some regular Galphers...
And for the TRACK some HT10s or equivilent(Porterfields??? EBC???..ETC..) Since I have 2 sets of rotors I can "marry"(season/bed in) the pads to... each rotor pair.

:D :p

I would love to find out just how fast a stock suspended... stock pulley Terminator can be... Hopefull my driving will develope either parallel or ahead of the car's mods...

Yes ... except for the brake hose being different... A good time to upgrade to a teflon lined stainless hose...

I would consider a group purchase at some point to get the rotors if that cost could come down.
