Hello all. Looking for advice before putting down the money on new brakes.

I was thinking about buying the Steeda Brembo 4 piston kit for my 99 Cobra. I have larger rims now and they would fit over the kit.

Has anyone used this system on a road course? Is there any improvement over stock?

I did 6 track days on a 2.65 mile track last summer and I wanted more brakes. I am already using Hawk Black pads. No fade or air in the lines but some other cars were able to catch me in the braking zones. I also cracked a rotor in half on my last day.

Any advise would be appriecated.

Thanks!

I have the Brembos on my car and yes there is an improvement!! Unless you are wanting the Steeda name and $$$ here is a lower cost option that will give your the same front brakes

A word of warning about Corner Carvers. It is a great site for info but use the search function!! Read the entire post before asking any questions or better yet just don't ask questions. They are a rough group on newbies to their board.

I also suggest you put some brake ducts on the car. If you are cracking rotors with the stock brakes you need more air on those rotors!!

Brembos are a great improvement. I would suggest trying Cobalt pads. http://www.cobaltfriction.com/products/index.asp
