Unloading some supplies at one of our safehouses:

A "Jingle" Truck. Jingle truck drivers decorate their trucks as a status symbol. The more a truck is decorated, the more successful the driver is. The intention is to show potential customers that this driver has transported a lot of goods & is established so he can be trusted to transport the customer's good to it's desired location. We had to go on this convoy mission to deliver supplies to a few of our firebases in Indian country because the Jingle truck that we sent was hijacked & the driver was murdered:

Getting dirty looks from poppy farmers who are worried that we were there to destroy their poppy crop. (For those that do not know, Heroine is Afghanistan's 3rd highest grossing product):

I'm not sure who the guy sitting in the middle of a poppy field, but it's definately NOT ME:

Me in the turrent. Feels like being in a washing machine... for 10-14 hours at a time on the rough country side. I got slammed all around in that thing so hard, my back ceramic ballistic plate cracked. Yes I'm bruised & sore all over:

Lots of kids:

Lots of graveyards everywhere in this country. A stone is placed at the head & feet of the body. If you look closely, you will see a lot of stones placed closed together. Those are mostly children & babies. The infantality rate is very high. One in five children here make it to adulthood:

Some empty Taliban cave structures dug on the side of a mountain. Notice the retangular firing ports:
