Love the car but not the 4x4 look. Needs to be dropped some with a little rake from front to back.

I look at it, think about placing a deposit, then remember it will weigh about 4040lbs with options before my big fat arse gets in it, the car requires the extra displacement just to make up the power to weight ratio of previous Cobras. As it turns out, the main difference in handling between this car and the GT is due to the tires, not that the suspension was really "tuned for the track" as previously thought, it was tuned but due to the new front/rear weight bias figures and not because they wanted the best handling car, if so the vehicle would have lost 400lbs as originally designed (straight from a good friend at Roush, this is the Thunderbird SuperCoupe all over again).
I start thinking about a V6 Pony option car instead, throwing a small turbo kit or blower on it (easy 350rwhp with basic add-ons), doing a full MM suspension/brake upgrade, a little bling with the GT500 front and rear bumpers, still costing under 31k, better gas mileage/insurance, and wind up having a better car on the open track. Hell, a low option V8 GT with some gentle engine massaging and suspension tweaks would do me fine. I could just buy the white whale back from Scott and call it a day, except the front seat smells funny now. :D

Gary you make a vary good point.

I love running my 98 in open track status. With a coil-over setup and some safety items, it Rocks.

I am a dreamer and live my life for today, but I will never be able to get a GT500. I think it would be vary nice to have one, if nothing more then for just cruising around town.

It's going tobe great and as we run noise to tail flying around the track the only way people will be able tell us apart is by the number on the doors of our sweet Cobra's.

it'll be till next year(Real Job=Real $$$=Real Mods) till I can run with you Stan. :(

But I can't wait on that day. It'll be a Joe Johnson/Andy Menard scenario.

When you’re ready I will have the suspension settings so we can transfer them over to your car and you will be fast right out of the box.

Joe and Andy scenario, I was thinking the same thing…..

Sweet car. But after seeing the new Roush Mustang all I can say is "What the heck did I do with the spare $48K!?".
