Well I'm FINALLY taking the car to get the rear end parts installed on Wednesday. Found out it'd be a LOT cheaper than first expected, so we'll see how true they hold to their quote they gave me. I can't wait to try out the new gears and differential.

For a list of what I'm getting installed go HERE (http://www.svtcobraclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11849)

Not a few weeks.04-14-2006, but you'll like the way the 4.10 pulls from a dead stop!

Why didn't you go with 31 spline instead of 28 since you were replacing the carrier any ways?

Jimmy said they'd flex better with the open tracking and I don't plan on going down the 1/4 mile except for once or twice a year.

They'll flex alright. 31 spline is not just for straight line, They are stronger and alot tougher than the 28's as well. They will take a beating and more heat than the 28's too. The newer 05-06 Stangs come with 31 spline from the factory, that's the only reason neither one of our cars has gotten upgraded ......yet.

See ya at MSR.

It's "recommended" that open-trackers use 28 spline especially when running the Torque Arm kit that I will be upgrading to....least that's what I'm told. Jimmy will back me up here........***que Jimmy***

If you ever want to do a negative camber housing you have to run 28 splines...

There is no freaking way in HELL you are going to brake or twist off those aftermarket 28s......... not going to happen!!!

6K dumps at the strip with MTs????..... after a while maybe... But you said you were only doing occasional strip duty.

I wouldn't sweat it... rotating weight reduction is of more benefit than excessive strength...in this case.

There won't ever be a set of slicks on THIS Cobra...promise. :D

And weight reduction is a key point....every bit counts....

Then why spend the money on what you already had ?????????? That was the whole point to me posting about this. Don't get you panties in a bind.
What is the weight difference from stock to the Mosers, is it worth the $200 and something bucks for the mosers?

Oh well, Hope you like it and we'll see ya at MSR.

OK, after riding in Mike's car during the SCMC Cobra Nationals at MSRH. Now I would like to get a rear end surgical true trac tuck. Would like to get a complete rebuild while at this, so what to get and where to get it done?

What do you wanna know?? 28 Moser axles, Trutrac diff, 4.10 gears, T/A girdle & Royal Purple oil.

Took mine to Slater's, think they charged me around $400-450 to install everything.
