I will appologized in advance for what is most likely a stupid question....

I have been driving my '04 cobra for 2 years now, and have no idea why the 03-04 cars are refered to as "Terminators". I have had a few folks use this reference about my car and just did not ask. Now that I see how often this description is used here.......I must know!

BTW: I did do a forum search before posting this question.

Terminator was what SVT called the cars internally. A project code name.

I would think they are called this because of their indestructable engines and power. I think it started in the assembly plant. Perfect name for these cars I would say.

Yep, project code name. If you look at the bumper cover underneath there should be a factory sticker somewhere on the backside of it. It has Terminator on it. Some one at one of the local cruisenights pointed this out to me.

The roots supercharger was an afterthought since the original concept was lacking it. If it was not for John Coletti, our cars would only be making 340HP max and that was not good enough to call it a terminator.
