I have a 97 Cobra with the MACH sound system. Looking to tap in to the rear speaker to hook up my amp and sub. Do I hook into the speaker wires before or after the factory amp?

Here is a link to an entire Sub and amp install for a Mach stereo. http://mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/despeeds1.htm Remember, this is for running through existing power. If you are running a seperate amp, and want to maintain your rear speakers and Mach amp, you need to splice prior to the Mach amp. All you need is the signal coming through the wires to convert for the new amp, and maintain the original amp to run the rears.

Does it matter with the 4 wires in the rear? 2 - and 2 +, Which is which in regards to right and left speakers to hook up the converter?
