Just looking for someone else 2 cents, looking into putting MAC long tube headers, off road h pipe, cat back and stage 1 cluch on my 97 Cobra. How mant horses will I have in the end? :D I figure 320-330.......

Just depends...you'll see probably 15rwhp from the LT's and midpipe...have you done a baseline to see where you stand now? You might be able to get a few more ponies out of it if you get a custom tune as well.

Base line for our years is around 265-268 rwhp. Adding the LT Headers, and exhaust should do just what blk04cobra stated 15-20 extra 280 to 288. The tune should help that as well. Perhaps to get a little more get a cold air intake, and under pullies.

Assuming you have an all stock 97 cobra, you will be lucky to get anything above 285 RWHP with that combination alone. To hit the 300 HP mark, you will need at least a CAI, pullyes, and a tuner.

285 is respectable. What do you think about 1/4 mile times. I'm pulling 14.2 now at 100MPH. Can I break into the 13s???? What ya think. :bounce:

A stock 97 Cobra Coupe weighs 3391 lbs and has 305 hp @ 5800 rpms. It has 300 ft lbs of torque and runs a 13.99 @ 101.6 mph. Top speed is 152 mph and pulls a .89 on the 100 ft skid pad.

With any mod, your car should be in the 13's. My 94 Coupe ran a 14.2 @ 92 mph with just a few mods and it is rated at 240 hp. 300 hp should get you in the mid to low 13's. Like me, keep practicing and you'll get there!

Lowering your elapsed time is all about the 60 ft times with a little work good tires and good track conditions you should get into the 1.7 60 ft times and just about get into the 12's.

It all depends on your driving, but yes you can get into the 13s. Possibly mid 13s at about 105mph.
