Finally joined the ranks legally, I picked up a pretty rough 95 Cobra. High miles, but motor is all stock and all there. Body needs TLC, interior is good.

I want to find some stock 95 Cobra wheels, anyone know where I can find some? Are the 97 Cobra wheels the same? I'd like to go back to the factory look if practical.

Right now car has some other wheels and the tires are old, very old. My searches on ebay yield page after page of Cobra R rims lol.

the thing that differs from the 95 wheels to the 97's, are the inserts on the 96-97 are painted, and the 94-95 wheels are not. I think if you look on ebay, you may be able to find some. The 97's are a pain in the ass to come by.

That is awesome Mike. :bounce:

:ttiwwop:

What are your plans for the car??

Good luck on the wheels. If I come across any, I will let you know.

This could alway be your fallback plan:

Not exactly the same, but close enough. :D

Hey, I like your fall-back plan, you still got those rims? Here's the pics of my new "project" car, it is in transit from Cali now:

Body is rough, seems it took a stop sign down the port side during a night mission... LOL.

93-95 Cobras are now legal for CMC so I wanted all the go-fast goodies. Not sure if I'll move them over to my current GTS or build this one into a track car, but for the price I wanted to score the car first, decide later.

Since I hate paint/body work so much and don't have a good shop (read: cheap and high quality paint/body work lol) it will probably be a hangar queen for quite a while.

Looks like a twin to my '95 (excuse me that would be Eloisa's '95 since she claims it, but since she's never driven it, I don't see how she can claim it). It turned over 10K miles this weekend.

Congrats on the Snake . Black SVT Style Rims would look nice as well.

There is a Mike Clifton on Westside that runs MPH Custom Paint and Body. Maybe he can hook Ya up on a fair priced paint work.

Gonna need tires first thing as these are dry-rotted. If I can hook up with some stock rims does anyone have a recommendation for stock tire size (i think it is 255/45R17?) that has some good track grip while being "ok" for street driving?

I might be taking this car out to MSRH or TWS hopefully once or twice a year.

Mike....the stock tires for a '97(17x8 rim) were 245/45/17. I ran 255s up front and 275s in the rear when I did have them on the car. A good street/track tire would probably be the Nitto NT555 or some Kumho Ecsta MX.

Thx Mike, I may get the Kuhmo's in 255/45/17 all the way around that way I can rotate them. Hopefully we can hook up on the rims and I can get this car on some decent rubber soon lol. Thanks again.

I've been debating about selling my original 94/95 Cobra rims but they are hard to find and I don't think they make them in the aftermarket. If you'll tell me a price you would pay for a set of four, I'll see if I can hunt some up for ya! :D

Tony, I bought an extra set of the '97s a few years back to have as an extra set, but now that the Cobra will be a track can with the '00 Brembos(97 stock rims won't fit w/those calipers).

I doubt they'll ever see the car again as long as I run it on the track Mike. I got eight Cobra R rims to help with the brake upgrades.

Besides, I hope in a couple of years I can upgrade the car....one that comes with Brembos from the factory if you know what I mean?? ;)
