I am replacing the engine in my 94 Cobra. Question is should I go to a 351w and skip a 302 based stroker?
How much of a pain is it?

Dart and World make 302 blocks that can be safely bored and stroked to over 351ci. Otherwise, fitting a standard 351 into the a 94-95 can be a pain! Putting them in earlier cars is easier. Headers are a big problem/hassle.

This is one thread that I want to follow the outcome on. I too would like to drop a 351 into my '95. However, with it just turning over 10K, I can't really justify it right now. I would think that with the FFRP items from the '95 Cobra R available from Ford then we should be able to do it. Keep us posted.

As for the question of stroked 302 vs the 351. From what I've read the stroked 302 gets you into the wrong bore/stroke ratio. I read a real good artical on that one time but I can't remember where it was.
