View Full Version : clutch trouble?

I have a 99 cobra and it is very had to get into gear. and sometimes even tries to grind going into reverse. my dad played arround w/ the pedal and after that it was very hard to push down but it would go into gear easily but when I let out of the clutch it only grabbed the last inch or so. Then I pulled back on the clutch and it made a click and its back to how it was.

from what i understand that resets the clutch cable so there isn't any play?

also I'm thinking about buying these two things if you guys think it would help me out at all. any other advice would be great thanks!

I have the double lock UPR firewall adjuster and the three hook quadrant. I would definately recommend it. However, the stock or factory clutch cable will work the best (you will need to remove the firewall clip off the end of it), the adjustable clutch cable is not worth the trouble.
