View Full Version : What's a realistic price for '04 Cobra conv?

Hello all, am new to forums, but have been a Cobra-lover long time!

My current ride is an '04 Cobra convertible that I've been using as my daily driver for almost 3 years and is listed here: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/323162063.html

The best time I've had in my life was the day I got to drive it on the full-circuit course at Infineon Raceway here in Northern California! Problem is that I'm no mechanic and so it's a scary proposition to track the car that gets you to work every day, so I'm selling this in hopes of getting something with a larger back seat for my 2 pre-teens AND a more track-dedicated vehicle as a 2nd car.

I've got the Cobra listed on craigslist above, but I'm seeing prices all over the map. Does anybody have an idea of what a realistic price is that I can expect for this car?

Also, any suggestions as to other places to post an ad for a vehicle like this would be appreciated (not everybody's in the market for an orange hotrod! ).

Set and wait on it, the Competition Orange are rare and the verts are even more rare. You'll get your asking price you just need to wait for the right buyer. Good luck

I agree with infamous partly. I agree you should sit and wait for the right buyer but I think even as rare as your car is 34k is much to high. With 41k miles (even free way) I think 30k to 31k is more realistic. If your car had 10k miles or less I would say 34k would be a fair price. The only reason I say that is because most mystics I have seen with 10k miles or less are only selling for 30k. I do think if you lower it a bit you will def get the right buyer.

I would tend to agree with Spincobra03 $30K - $31K. I recently sold a Blk 04 Convt. for $28K. Had 19K miles on it, ton of upgrades, mint condition. Reduced the price several times. In addition, just purchased a Mystic Convt. with 2K miles on it, headers, X-Pipe, C-Back, etc...ton of upgrades and paid $33K. Completely understand the CO is a rare vehicle (beautiful) however I would reduce to the price neighborhood mentioned above. Simply because of the mileage! Either way good luck with the sale.

I gave 31k for mine last year with only 4400 miles on it and no mods so hold out for the right buyer!

Thanks guys, I just reposted my craigslist ad (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/328358607.html (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/328358607.html)) and also listed it on auto trader, both at a grand lower. I'd like to get over $31k, but time will tell.

Any other venues I should list it on?
