View Full Version : Hello, I'm new here and want to introduce myself

Hello everyone, my name is Dennis Beach and I just want to say that the 03-04 model cobras have always been my second favorite car ever only behind the 90-96 300zx twin turbo. I have made a change of heart though. I have never driven a cobra but I have watched videos and they look and sound amazing. I currently own a 1996 nissan 300zx twin turbo and I put down 330 hp on it but I am tired of the mid 90's car and want a V8 (good ole American muscle)! To me the only drawback to the cobra is that it looks almost exactly like a regular mustang but it looks enough different for me to love them! I am trying to find a cobra in the $21-25k range right now but I have to sell the 300. If you guys know anyone who likes these cars I have a clean one and I'm asking only $10700, payoff. I don't know the difference b/t the cobra and the 300 but the 300 is a pretty fast car and looks ahead of its time. BTW, I am from Oakdale, La and I appreciate this forum allowing members without hassle. Hope to talk to you guys in the future. Oh, one more thing. If anyone has a cobra for sale, I am interested.

Welcome to the board! There are a lot of Nissan owners in TX, so perhaps trying to sell the 300 on one of the TX boards may help. Check out all things Cobra and you will find many sites posting Cobras for sale.

Good Luck!

welcome aboard man, the great thing about these cobras are the engines can handle alot and have so much room for adding HP and TQ.. you wont look back.

yeah welcome aboard you wont regret going from 300z to cobra. The z might be a lighter car but cobras from factory put down 350's to the wheels with pulley and tune 420-430 to the wheels is common place and they are so easy to get 500-700hp every day driver cars to.

On the other hand, to me it is a plus because it does not draw as much attention from the local PD as does a car with stripes, graphics, wings etc.

I used to own a red 72 Chevelle vert w/ white interior, white SS stripes and raised cowl induction hood. Guess who would get picked out of the crowd as we left from a light or doing 65mph on the highway?

I would have to admit that I did like the Nissans you described but not really interested in becomming an owner of one (however, in the early 90's when they came out that would have been a different stroy).

As for the appearance of the 03/04 Cobras, they have a look all to their own which does set them appart from the other models. I think the 03/04's were one of the best looking mustangs that ford created. Once you pop the hood, there is one of the nicest looking power plants that makes a statement " is that really a 4.6L engine?, it is too big to be that small...."

Hope you find one...I love mine. And to the real Cobra enthusiest...they'll know what you're driving. First things I notice that are diff. are the rear spoilers and third brake lights (LED). The front spoiler with the round fog lights. Rear bumper cover, oh and not to mention that tough looking hood! The fact that it says Cobra on the back helps cops Identify us quickly as well, I had one follow me through a neighborhood last night in the Champions area for those of you that are familar with Cypresswood in Spring, TX. I was rolling at 20mph in first gear the whole time with my radar blasting. Man I wanted to show him what the other 5 gears could do but I couldn't. I kind like my freedom. :p

Good LUck Buddy,
