Looks like the F-150 Harley-Davidson isn't the only blown Ford truck making its debut today. Fresh from Livonia comes word that Roush is releasing a 100-truck limited run of the Nitemare, a ROUSHcharged F-150 4x2 Styleside that deals 450 horsepower from the modified 5.4L V8 tucked behind its billet grille. Looking like something All Nitemares are finished in the menacing black you see above and trimmed out with matte black accents, the aforementioned grille, and a chin spoiler. An optional rear wing and/or hood scoop can be added as well. Its lowered stance comes courtesy of a Roush sport suspension that provides a two-inch drop. Inside, a number of details like new seats, special badging and a Roush gauge package tell occupants that they're not in any sort of garden-variety F-150.

Pricing for the Nitemare starts at $41,750, and those interested will be able to find the trucks at Roush-authorized Ford dealers starting in June.

Both the Saleen and Roush look like tough trucks. Too bad Ford bellied up and quit making Lightnings and Cobras. Maybe they should make a supercharged Shelby truck since they cowtowed and gave the Cobra away!

I've "heard" that the Saleen really lacks in the power department...though I haven't driven one or heard from anyone else to confirm this. I like the Saleen more than the Roush, but I wouldn't pay the sticker price that comes with owning one of their vehicles.

The operative word here is "looks" and they do look good. I know nothing about the power and I definitely agree with your last statement. That is why SVT was such a bargain.... you could get a faster more powerful vehicle for 15K less, no brainer in my opinion. Most people wouldn't even know what a Cobra was till they tried to run one... :rotf:

SALEEN has always been "known" for over estimating hp. However with the new twinscrew S/C set-up, stated power should be easier to achieve.

As for the NITEMARE truck, the S/C unit has been getting great reviews for OEM fit and reliability. And it would look good pulling a BlackJack behind it.
Or either one of mine for that matter.;)

http://www.fnsweet.com/pics/about/press/nitemare2.jpg+1 Yes, it is based off the BlackJack and JR loves black. He tried to make a balance with the looks and the power output. I agree that the SVT F150 would be a better value. The Roush S/C has been doing well and proving to be reliable. Roush has been in the works on the development of the S/C upgrade for the GT500s as well.

I say that Nitemare would look great towing an Angel behind it! :D

This truck looks good, but the price is a bit too High. I have actually seen one delivered by Joe myers that was laden with enough junk, curb feelers (no joke ) and the like that was an insult to Jack Roush. Any way the Halo lightning Guys are making lot's of power that that will over shadow the night mare numbers HP and torque Chris Barnes is close to the 7's and Ron Raire is deep into the 11's. The roush and saleen numbers are comparable to our Gen 2 Lightning But I would take either one.
