Just out of curiousity, how many of you guys leave your traction control off??? How much power loss does running this take away. Even though it is much more difficult to control under WOT, there is a noticable power gain.

Street driving, I leave mine on. Open track and drag, I leave it off.

I always shut mine off unless it is raining, and I very rarely drive it in the rain. It seems to be less predictable when the traction control is on as it will just shut the car down.

Mine is off and stays off, The traction control starts reducing the fuel to the cylinders to reduce power and creates a lean condition which is very bad for our cars and can actually a poor way to set it up.

I cut mine off every time I start my car as it is annoying/embarrassing to have it kill the power of your car when you start getting a little sideways.

All that the traction control does is pull timming, shuts off injectors (not sure if there is any braking that occurs). I find it to be a safey hazzard at times when on especially when making left turns into traffic. It does have some usefullness in the rain. The only benefit it provides is that if someone else drives your car they will not easily launch it into an insurance loss. I would prefer the function to operate in reverse so you can make use of it when necessary and not have to turn it off every time you start the engine. With it turned off, you will have the full potential of the power available which will increase performance consdierably since the engine will not be dropping out every time wheel slip is detected.

Learned my lesson. Making a left onto a busy 4 lane highway I gunned it only to have it kill the engine just as I finished the turn into the left lane. Pissed off the guy coming up on my rear and could not get out of my own way. Now I shut it off before I put it into gear. Don't drive in the rain but might leave it on for that if I did.

You can disable it with a chip and there was a box on the net that could be wired in that would changew the default setting to off.
