After doing some (notice I didn't say alot) research, I bought some Mickey Thompson drag radials for my 03 Cobra. Those things hook up like you would not believe. I'd highly recommend them as they were highly recommended to me to folks I talked with at the local drag strip. I got the 295/45/17s on 17x10.5 rims (stock is 17x9). If you go bigger, you will probably need to file down the lug nut in the wheel well for the IRS.

If you go with the 275s, you should be good. I got some replica rims for $155 from LethalPerformance.com, where I also bought the tires which run the same as getting the Good Year F1 GS D3.

BTW - Those 315s are Bad azzz!!!!:flip:

GodStang,

What kind of numbers are you getting from that 2.8 KB and at how much PSI?

I am unable to release that information at this time.....for the fact that I do not have it. I am running about 18psi. I am running on a 2.2L tune and will have the tune fixed November 10th at the Dragstrip and hope to have some good numbers before I get kicked off. The only time I have been on a dyno with the 2.8L as soon as I hit around 600rwhp the tires would just break loose and begin to smoke. Hence the reason I bought the M/T. I have yet been to the dyno since. I was hitting 600rwhp very rich and about 1K below redline.

M/T makes two sizes now that will fit the stock 17 X 9 rim. They make a 275/40-17 that is 26" tall, and the new 295/45-17 will fit on the stock rims as well. They're a little over 27" tall IIRC.

If you think the 315 M/T's are wide... you ought to see what a 335 Hoosier looks like on a 10.5" rim :D
