i have a 99 cobra and i want to tune her up this winter what kind of spark plugs would be the best to get and i would like to go with some msd coil packs. Is that the best choice and where can i find some coil packs i looked in summit but all they was for the GT. Are they both the same or what? Thanks and let me know somethin:thumbsup:

I have read the MSD coil packs, or any other aftermarket don't do much difference. Most people say they are a waste of money.

I went with Champion Platinums. Worked great.

don't use any platinum plug i've burnt them up personally, i suggest either ngk plugs or just use factory motorsport plugs. they will usually last up to 90k

We use NGK Iridiums & ScreaminDemon coil packs with live wires.

does screamin demon make coils for 99and up cobras?

The coil packs on the 99-04 Cobras will support a LOT of horsepower. Don't spend the money on them if they are not broken. There are plenty of 500-700hp Cobras running around with stock COPs.

I had problems with Advance Auto Parts and other local parts stores locating enough plugs for a 4.6L DOHC Cobra (one store only had six plugs and another tried to sell me Mustang GT plugs), so I just went to a Ford dealership and got OEM plugs (Autolite). That way, I was sure to have the correct diameter and thus avoid the risk of possibly buggering-up the aluminum threads on the heads.

NGK plugs and I wouldn't worry about your COPS's unless you're having some issues that you have not stated...the stock COPS will be just fine
