Anybody know where to buy brake cooling ducts kit? I had a set of plastic ones and Gingerman melted them. I have 14" rotors.

Check shelbyperformanceparts.com

They are listed as "coming in spring '08". Also click on the link to get a free CS Shelby Parts Catalog sent to you. It shows them in there as well. Also, they are making a OEM replacement lower grille, to accommodate the holes for ducting. About 300.00 for the entire thing, I believe.

I took my GT500 to the track in the Fall of '06 and knew it was going to need some efficient brake cooling.

I designed this. Here is a shot mounted on car:

It worked so well and they looked so good, I had many requests for ducts. I made a batch last year and sold all of them. Here is a photo of the production run:

These are made out of .090" aluminum and tig welded. They are light, durable and ultra high efficiency.

They fit all iterations of S-197 vehicles. Mustang V-6, Mustang GT, GT500, Roush, Saleen, Shelby GT you name it!

The next production run should be done by late Jan or early Feb. They are $150.00 a pair including ground service delivery.

:D

Bruce, could you pm me when they are available? Both my girls may want them.

Question, does it include the hose and fittings?

No hose comes with. Just go to Wally World and pick up some 3" RV sewer hose and you're good to go. It's nice and lightweight. You can go through the factory provisions or do what I did and go through the fog light openings. I'll post up a pic later.

I'll let you know when they're ready.

If you're looking for two sets shipped to one addy, I can cut you a bit of a break. :D

Stay tuned!

:thumbsup:Well the hose is easy thing then.

Fogs are a good idea on the Roush since it has a bazillion lights on the front of it - lol - a cpl. less won't even notice. :D

GT500 has the holes in the frame of the car; - can order a Factory replacement lower grille with the holes already in, and not have to cut my original.

Two sets required because there are two brats and don't want one getting jealous of the other. ;)

The brake ducts are finally here. I will just need a little time to put the finishing touches on them and will be able to ship in plenty of time for tracking season!

I had my late 07 on the lift the other day and it actually has the ducts behind the lower grill, they just don't have the hoses on them, maybe this is something ford has started doing for the upcomming KR, Not sure, my car is # 6969 Ya no joke right.

What you're referring to are the provisions in the lower grill area for the inlets. There is nothing on the spindle to duct the air to the rotor.

Thanks John:

I will have my last two pairs of S-197 ducts with me at the VIR 15th Anniversary Nationals next week if anyone is interested.

More in the works but who knows how long that's going to take!

I'm new to these forums but have belonged to a number of others for quite some time. I'd be interested in taking a set of the S-197 ducts off your hands. What kind of payments do you accept? Thanks.
