What's your opinion on struts for a '97 Cobra? Is it worth the money to upgrade, and, if so, what's the best brand?

It is definitely worth the money--if you have it to spend--, but it is not inexpensive, when you include labor and go "all the way" with the suspension upgrade:

My vote would be for Tokico Illumina Series Five-Way Adjustable Gas Shocks (http://www.hitachi-hap-la.com/TokicoGasShocks/products/illumina/), coupled with Eibach Pro Series, Street. 1.5" Lowering Kit (http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe/02183.3.4554089480200025617).

This is an excellent combination to mate with Steeda Weld-In Tubular Alloy Subframe Connectors, with a Cross-Brace Kit (http://www.steeda.com/products/steeda_subframe_connectors.php).

The combination of these three items totally re-vamps the Cobra suspension--it's like driving a car with a new, adjustable level of character. :bounce:

I just replaced my struts, shocks, and springs. I was on a budget and got the Ford Racing B springs w/ isolators, and the Tokico blue shocks and struts. So far I am very satisfied especially for the price. I bought from StangSuspensions, amazing customer service and the best prices around. The Tokico blue's are good, I don't know if the minute difference to upgrade from the blues is worth it. Unless you're serious about track times, I would get the Tokico blues. I don't have sub-frame connectors yet, but it's already like driving a different car. The package I got was like $515 to give you an idea of what it cost to upgrade.
