Yes I'm working a deal on a Shelby GT500 FOR MSRP...NOT MSRP plus a dollar for ANYTHING. White with Blue Stripes....Hopefully I pick up the car this week. WOO HOO....maybe I'll bring it instead of the weak '01

we will see. All dealers have the talk before the deal is completed. You know that. I hope you get what you want.

Signed the papers deposit is down now just working on the financing. Trying to get something sub 5.5%. Best right now is 5.75% from a credit union, the dealer is trying to beat that. AND they did the deal WITHOUT DOCUMENT FEES. (thank-you very much)

Congratulations!

The dealer can beat that rate, there's not much difference between the two. They want to do the financing so they can get a cut of the interest so they will probably "find" a better rate.

Congrats!! Hey- i drove the sonic home in the pouring rain when I got it! ya know,it's just a car! my svo is a more rare car, and it is bashed and thrashed on the track! no more streets for it (unless it is being driven up my dead end road!)

SO: DRIVE IT!!

I don't drive mine in the rain for many reasons. Mainly because it has never been driven in it before, so why dirty the underside and engine compartment with filth if I don't need to. Mine is not a DD so I can kinda make the decision when I drive it and in what weather.

Mine's not a daily driver either but I have driven it in the rain many times, recently in the snow and ice, and last year on forestry roads and over a submerged spillway and through 3 progressively deeper stream crossings (partially thanks to the GPS, my old one never would have chosen that road but I still did it by choice). :) I figure if Porsche has a club where they drive off road through desert and rough mountain terrian (not with the SUV, they use the Carrerra and 911) the Cobra can handle a little adventure too. :D
