What coil packs are best for '96-'98 Cobra?

How much of an advantage is offered over OEM coil packs in terms of horsepower, etc.?

Is it necessary with these coil packs to change spark plug wires to handle additional current?

Thanks.

i was always told that the stock ones are the best one you can buy.

I have been told the oem is the best too. i asked the same question on coil overs and i was told that people have the stock coil packs even with superchargers.

no hp advantage, stick with the stockers

My coil packs were bad so I got some MSD coils and wires, but I also have heard that OEM are just as good if not better.

The stock coilpacks are just fine. No need to "upgrade" only replace if replacement needed.

Thanks guys.

(One of the connectors on a coil pack was broken during removal/replacement of the rebuilt engine. The connector is broken at the potting material [on the coil pack itself], so no wiring harness replacement will be necessary; I'll just go with OEM replacement coil packs, since they are the original coil packs and have 150K miles on them. Heck, they're about the only thing I haven't replaced while restoring the car, so why not?) :)
