The Cobra engine autopsy concluded that the oil pump failed and eventually seized up. Oil starvation destroyed the rod bearings and crank.

that really sucks.if your running a mod motor you would be the first I'v herd of having this failure. good luck with the build

If it was the stock motor, this would be the first I have heard of this failure. If it's a built motor, I have heard of quite a few failing over the last year. I think it was the MMR one's that had some issues (not exactly sure, so don't quote me). Sorry for your troubles, but im sure it will be back together and stronger real soon.

The cobra is back home where she belongs. The new stroked engine configuration is putting out 11% more torque while maintaining a very conservative 12.0-12.5 A/F tune. Needless to say, I am pleased. :D

Thanks and yes a real PITA. Of course, the only work I did was to steal the check book from the wifey and write a rather large check :lurk:
