Move-in Date.....that's an interesting story.

My final walk was going to be the 16th, with a closing date of the 21st. WAS. I received an e-mail on Friday saying the builder is halting all construction because they are re-margining their loans with the banks. Closing will be in 3-5 weeks so probably late February.

And now for the interior pics:

Kitchen, gas stove/microwave in the middle, fridge off to the left. Door on right leads to laundry room and garage:

Congrats Mike!! Ah, the joys of home ownership. Now get ready for the money pit... it seems that no matter what, you always need a contingency budget to either fix stuff that's broken OR add stuff that the builder should have put in but didn't.

In the end though, you are living the American Dream! You and the bank that is! ;)

Congrats dude!! So, you have enough room to put Casper inside the garage so he doesn't get scared of other ghosts outside at night?! :p

Well....bad news guys. My builder is going under and they are not able to complete the construction of my house. They are really big in the California/Colorado area and that is where they took the biggest hit. Only about a week's worth of work to do to the house....carpet, door knobs/locks, appliances and landscaping.

THIS, however, is NOT FUNNY!!!! I am so sorry to hear this news. I know how badly you were looking forward to getting in that house. I'm sure with all of us there must be a way we can help get the rest of the stuff done for you. Everyone knows someone who knows how to do something.....

I have no idea. I have tried to call the "higher ppl" in John Laing, left a message, but I don't think it's going to be an easy thing. :dunno:
