View Full Version : Need to know...

We need to know who is committed to going to TWS in November on the sixth? We have to have 50 people signed up for this event and the cost will be $175.00 for the day. If we do not have enough SCMC members committed to paying for the track day, we will have to cancel the event.

Projected list:

Edmond V
Mike K
Joe J
Carl G
Larry E
Larry E
Todd A
Jim B

I will be there for sure. Always love running at TWS. It should be a fun day.

Dude, I would love to go and would have certainly been in attendance, but my company's yearly sales conference (Vegas) is that same week and I will not be back in time.

Please advise if you guys end up moving it to another date?

It's not a problem Andy, we may have to forget this year if we do not get enough people committed and try again next year.

Would like to do it, but getting time off to do anything on a weekday is next to impossible.

Hopefully this will help those on the fence-the Drivers edge is having an event there on the 7th and the 8th running clockwise.
You could have 3 full days of open tracking!!!! :D

You guys need to post this here and on other sites, such that when people want to signup, they do so under the SCMC banner.

I'll post this on the SHO board and try to get the Dallas crew down to College Station.

Is there a special sign-up procedure?

I can probably swing one day of open track at that price and be able to get off work.

I'm in for it, and I have my "bowtie" buddy here at work that's also in.

I will do my best to get my older brother with his "Pretty" 2002 Z06 out there as well.

He needs to learn how to really drive that car. :D

We discussed this prior and the only date available we had was the Friday or the Monday. We opted for the Friday since you can run track and still have a weekend or do the weekend with the other group.

it seems like every year we don't promote this event enough or at the last minute and then we choke. If we go out as a group and promote then we can probably have a better turnout at this event and all of our other events. This is not just a south central problem, it is a problem throughout the SCMC.

Times have also been hard this year and turnout has been smaller at all of our events except car shows...I'm still trying to figure that one out?

I can make it

We have 5 potential people and we'll have to make some sort of commitment to the track to do this thing. We will have to have at least 20 people to commit to pay but 50 people to pay for it.

I can make it. I am in!

I am planning on going, as long as I can get my rollbar and other race accessories down there...
