I know we have a few F1 fans on here, and many of you don't have Speed channel. Since they usually occur in the middle of the night local time, I'll be recording the races in HD (including practice and qualifying) again this year. If anyone wants to come over and watch a race, just let me know ahead of time. If there are several people that want to watch regularly, we could do a pre-planned group viewing. I live a couple of miles north of Willowbrook off 249.

Here are the projected race weekends:
01 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX (Sakhir) 12 - 14 Mar
02 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX (Melbourne) 26 - 28 Mar
03 PETRONAS MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX (Kuala Lumpur) 02 - 04 Apr
04 CHINESE GRAND PRIX (Shanghai) 16 - 18 Apr

08 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2010 (Montreal) 11 - 13 Jun
09 TELEFÓNICA GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE (Valencia) 25 - 27 Jun

Just a heads up that the 2010 season starts this weekend. It looks like no USF1 this year.

Bart,

I haven't followed F1 for about 4-5 years now, so I am late to the developments and players. So, why is the US (typically held at Indy) F1 race not on the schedule this year?

Bart,

I haven't followed F1 for about 4-5 years now, so I am late to the developments and players. So, why is the US (typically held at Indy) F1 race not on the schedule this year?

F1 Management has been raising fees at the same time the economies around the world have been tanking. The teams want a race in the US, but no US venue will host a race given the fees F1 management wants. Canada has been off the schedule for the last couple of years too, they are back on this year. Notice all the new races in cash rich countries in the middle and far east.

The reference I made to USF1 was about the new 'USF1' team. They don't have their ducks in a row for a 2010 start.
