Wayne and I had a great time at the SVT/SCMC Superfest event even tho I had my clutch give up on Friday after 3 sessions. The pressure plate disintergrated. I guess those 7000 rpm shifts was just too much for it. I also tore up one of my trailer fenders and had one trailer tire start to come apart. Oh well, it was a great event. I had a student who drove a new FR500S and he sure could make it fly.
I am looking for another event closer to home. I cancelled my trip to the FordShelby MidAmerica event in Tulsa this year. It is getting too expensive to run in this event.

Wish I could have made the trip.It was a great trip and lots of track time and fun. It was a shame that Joe got bit with my bad luck from two years ago. There were 4 rigs from Texas in our caravan. Afternoons were pretty warm, but they allowed us to drive in short sleeves. Gary won the raffle for one of the Cobra R jackets that they were giving away. Iíll post some pictures as soon as I find the cheat sheet I have to tell me how to do it.

Jim are you going to take that.I just thought that was a good caption for the picture. Jim knows what was really happening and it's not what it looks like. He had been on my tail for about a half a lap, I had just given him a point by and he hadn't had time to pull away yet. It sure is a lot of fun to run that close to someone you can trust not to do something crazy.

I'd love to come chase you Joe, but I have a family commitment that weekend. Maybe next time. Did you get my message about Road Atlanta in November?

Larry,
I will keep the event at Road Atlanta open this fall. It would be a great place to go play. I ran there about 5 years ago. Had a great time. You can also drive back to Houston in one day.

Big Daddy,

How is everything with you? My my it has been a while since I have seen you on the track. I sure remember you getting into the tire barrier at turn 3. It is always great to reminisce about past events. Hope to see you again tearing up a road course.
Take care.

The SVT Focus would do just well on track, especially with the new tune
