View Full Version : BOSS Mustang induced mental illness.

Has anyone else been overcome by this insidious debilitating illness? :D

I need to check these boards more often, sorry. :(

The craziness at one point even including a parting of the ways for #539 and I.
I am over that little bit of irrational thought, but it has shifted over to plans for a new or used regular BOSS and it's obvious on track advantages over my portly but beautiful Mystichrome, and finding a way to do both.

That may perhaps not be possible, but if things end up economically really bad, there could still be a very plausible 2011 3.73 Brembo GT built up a tad with BOSS or aftermarket goodies.

Any other SVT faithful currently fantasizing about BOSS possibilities?
The track potential is pretty off the hook!

Jimbo, I too have been tempted to go Coyote with the new '11 GT, but may wait till the 2012 in case there are any "kinks" in the system with the motor. Dyno numbers have seen 384rwhp  Would make for one hell of a track machine if you put it on a diet and get it around 3200lbs.

The engine differences and resultant RPM capabilities makes me want to wait for the BOSS, it is seriously hard core and I think with a tune similar to the Grand Am cars, but without the restrictions, would produce 550 @ 8500 all day long..... N/A!!!

A warmed over 2011 5.0 would be no slouch either but the hard parts in the BOSS are seriously HARD CORE!

The photochops are already out!

If I do get one and I am thinking about it, I still won't be selling my Cobra and Shelby. :D
