I always try to buy a completely stock car when I buy used. The 04 model year was better than the 2003 because a lot of the issues with the 2002/03 had been resolved by then.

Are you looking for a street car or a open track car?

I'm looking for daily driver in the summer months and something i can take to the strip n run it a few times. I would say somewhere around 470rwhp

I would agree with Tony. Unless you know the car and the owner, I would stay away from a heavily modded Terminator. I was very lucky to purchase one from a close friend, so I knew the car and how well it was maintained.

I would also try to buy one from a southern state where there is no snow and hence less of a risk of the car being driven in snow and salt.

The Terminators make great daily drivers! and with very little mods, they make insane horsepower! Just remember to spend mod money wisely. I would start with the cooling system, as this is one of the largest problems with a stock Terminator. My car has an excellent cooling system consisting of a dual core racing aluminum radiator, Evans water pump, etc. I also have an aftermarket oil cooler and canton racing pan. I routinely go out road courses and pound on my car for 20-30 minutes at a time wide open and do not experience cooling issues.

Good luck with your search and be sure to ping us once you've found a suitable car to buy.

Also, be aware that the Terminators come with IRS rear suspension - not exactly the best thing for the drag strip! You may want to reconsider your decision if you plan on going to the drag strip often with this car.

Thanks for your input guys.
I found 1 about an hour away from my house. So I'm going to go take a look at it on Friday and test drive to see how everything is. Its an 04 with 55k miles, 1 owner, and they want 18,500 for it. From what I can tell from the pics of it the mods look like intake, smaller pulley, and idler pulley, lowered and bassani exhaust.

Buy stock if possible do your own thing with it... that way you know what you have. I got mine down South so that way you are sure that it has never seen snow and salt. If you can try to get as low klm as possible... good luck!

I see a southern fella say-n to not buy a northern car because of snow and salt.

I live in Ohio and don't even let my snake out if it rains, so ask who ever your purchasing from if they appear honest. I do from time to time get caught in the rain on vacations but not when I'm home, so there are cars up north worthy of looking at. Just say-n
