Under caridge knocking sound

Any of you guys heard about an under carriage knocking sound that would occurs from time to time when the car is in movement.

It does not happen all the time. It does not happen when we transfer power to rear wheels, does not occur when we shift or ask the car for a "kick down" when starting to accelerate... just regular drive medium to low speed we hear a knock rear passenger side of the car... any clues what it could be... everything seem to be tight when we check things...

Thanks for your help and input...

If it is on your 04 Cobra, it could be in the IRS. Just because everything feels tight, that doesn't mean when you are in motion that it is tight. Put the car on jack stands and rotate the wheels to see if you hear anything or shake different locations to see if you possibly have something loose.

Had a bit of an issue like that on my GT and it turned out to be that the one of the cats was busted.

What would you guys think of loosening things clean stuff, and then re-torquing it to Ford specs?

I think as long as it isn't something complicated or something that would require special tools, go for it.
