03-11-2013, 04:19 PM
Ill post Thursday night what part of the track we will be showing at for anyone intersested.

03-14-2013, 08:35 PM
Judging and awards will be given out on Sunday. They no longer allow us to give awards out on Saturday. Best of show will go up to the front on Sunday and the event is shortened on Sunday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.

03-14-2013, 10:58 PM
So I went to the meet and picked up the tickets tonight. We will be on the outside directly in front of the track of the both days. There will be alot more clubs out there due to a lawn mower race that will be held in the infield and has forced them to move cars out. They said that its possible that a few smaller clubs might get moved to the infield that morning but as of right now there wont be room.

03-14-2013, 11:20 PM
Sounds like a long walk from the outside to the infield. Are we under the bleachers in the Ford section or literally out in the parking lot?

03-15-2013, 08:14 AM
Ill try to post a pic of the map but no we are parked on the outside near the entrance. There are a lot of clubs out there with us. Seems dumb to me to move all the cars out to make room for a lawn mower race, but whatever. He said they have lost 150 car spots to make the track for the mowers.

03-15-2013, 09:36 PM
Personally, I think we should just cancel going there after this event. Every year we keep getting further and further outside. Is it really worth it? I'd rather go do a cruise-in at Germain Ford than be out on the street for a car show. At least at the dealership you'll get a free meal!

What if I wanted to go in the infield, I have to leave my car unattended at the street, no thanks!

03-16-2013, 10:33 PM
So are we under the stands? If we are outside that sucks. I'm out

03-17-2013, 09:09 AM
So here is a picture of the map. We will be on the outside of the track not under the seats. If the weather will be good I will be there if anyone is still intersted in going. Let me know if you arent gonna make it and i will remove your name from the list. Look for the highlighted line at the bottom of the page.

03-17-2013, 10:32 PM
Looks like we are outside as outside can be. This was called the Charlotte Autofair and they are more interested in having lawn mower races rather than car club displays. Since when did a lawnmower become a car?

However, part of this is our fault, we never filled our numbers and for that we got tossed to the lions. Had we filled like we were supposed to, we would probably be in a better spot. I don't see anything changing in the future. JMHO

03-18-2013, 08:13 AM
Sorry....but I'm out. I'd rather go as a spectator and be inside the track.

03-18-2013, 09:42 AM
I just look at it as a good and close parking spot and its free. lol.

03-24-2013, 10:37 AM
It is a shame that we are outside but I will still be there...

03-24-2013, 02:50 PM
Let's see if we can fill our slots before the fair and maybe they'll move us back inside in the fall. I know there are a number of you that want to do this event, we just have to have the numbers.

03-25-2013, 01:58 PM
Put me down for Saturday please,

Alex Vogel - 2011 Kona Blue Shelby GT500 Coupe

03-26-2013, 11:12 AM
The fun of this event has just gone away for me. I love being with you guys, walking around the infield and looking at the cars, and especially driving into the track to park on the infield grass. If we got to do these things it would be worth leaving home at 3:30 a.m. to meet you guys at McDonalds for breakfast, but since we are outside, I am going to back out. :(
Sorry! I'll look forward to the Parkway show in August.

03-26-2013, 11:14 AM
Tony, Rana and I will show up with 2 cars if it helps the club out. We are either way on this. What ever you need. One of the Mustangs will be the 96 Saleen and the other will be up in the air but probably the 07, your old Track Car, or my 93. Just depends on what I can accomplish by then.

03-28-2013, 11:12 AM
I wil attend both days

03-28-2013, 09:53 PM
Ok guys, I know it is a little frustrating and maybe I shouldn't have spouted off earlier but I am asking all of you to show if you can make it. I know there are some people that really like to attend and I hate for them not to be able to do it so if you can, please bring your cars with you. if everyone goes that said they would go, we would have 13 cars and I think we can probably get a few more before next weekend. I'll be there on Sunday, a half day, along with Daniel, Rana, and Mike. I do agree with Ted, you still get a premiere parking spot and maybe next time we can be moved closer to the action. Thanks for your support.

03-28-2013, 10:35 PM
I have thought about it and will probably be there so Ted won't be lonely and to represent.

03-29-2013, 11:04 AM
Awesome Robbie. I was worried of all the trouble id get in with you not being there.

03-30-2013, 04:58 PM
Count me in for both days SHINE:cool:

04-05-2013, 12:18 PM

04-05-2013, 05:34 PM
Anyone have address for the McDonalds thats navigation friendly?

Oh, and since were going to be outside, are we going to have hoods up or down? If down, I'll be done cleaning a LOT sooner...

04-05-2013, 09:34 PM

I thought our location wasn't too bad. It allowed you to easily leave without all of the traffic mess. Not a bad spot after all. :)
