Hi everyone.
I just purchased a 1997 Pacific Green Coupe with only 5,000 miles. I am no stranger to Mustangs, the first car I ever owned (and still own) is a 67 convertible.
I think the club is AWESOME, and I look forward to "Meeting" everyone.
Two quick questions: I am considering the purchase of "R" wheels for my 97. Any Opinions? I am also going to get new wheels for the 67. Which do you guys think would look better...Repro(wider) styled steel wheels OR Magnum 500's?

Be paitent, I only bought a computer a month ago.

Thanks, everyone

Personally, on the 1997, i'd go with reproduction wheels. I know some people will frown upon that, but i'll tell you why....... My good friend has a 1998 cobra. (he's not a member....yet) Anyway, he's got the eibach pro-kit, and AFS chrome cobra r's. Now, the price is rather close to the Ford ones, but you do have a better option with AFS's. My buddy has 17x9's up front with 255/40's on them, and 17x10.5's on the back. Complimenting the rear is a set of 315/35's.... With a minor, and i mean minor, little bit of trimming on the inside of the wheel wells (ya know that flimsy black cover inside there) the do not rub at all. They are fill out the wheel well perfectly, and do not ever rub. Not even the slightest bit. Also, IMO, the AFS's center caps look better. But this is all in my opinion, so take it as such. As for the older mustang, i'm sorry, i've never owned one, but i just saw yesterday a 67 coupe with the bullit style wheels on it. It looked good, but i didn't get a chance to ask him how easy that was to do..........

Here's a thread from a guy named Marcus on the corral that has some pictures of a SN-95 with 315/35's on it. You can see how it fills out the wheel wells perfectly........
