Alright folks... the website has been updated with new pics.

http://www.svtmustangcobraclub.com/imgs/1stSCCShow/index.htm

As many of you know, so many of us were so busy on show day that we did not have time to take pictures. I was fortunate enough to talk to Bart Pfeffer (bartman01) about helping out with the pics, since he's a photographer. So thanks to Bart, our unofficial-official show photographer, for getting 96 new pics to me of the show. You can distinguish his pictures on the site by a black border bearing his informatin. Of course due to space limitations, the pictures are not that big.. but if you see one that strikes your fancy and would like to get a print... I'm sure there is some way you can persuade Bart into getting you a print. Bart can be reached at bartman01@earthlink.net .

 :bounce: :doubt:

now if only Sherri could get me the pictures of the award winners with their trophies :doubt:

That's a lot of pictures... Looks good. Looks like he got the pics before it started to rain.
Edmond, you will have to wait till at least Monday, as Sherri went to FFW this weekend.

That was the original plan, but work calls and I had to cancell my vacation for today. I believe David, Sherri & Christine caravaned up together. I am leaving early Sat morning to go up and watch races and show the Pace. Good parking where the cars are shown. :D

His name is Kurtis. He hangs out in the street racing scene a lot. I'm not sure where he got the wheels, but I know he had to order them.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. If you happen to talk to him sometime, no rush on it, and if you remember, could you ask him where he got them for me? Thanks bud!

If you want an electronic copy of any of the pictures, I've got them all at 1536x1024 (256 dpi). They were batch scanned by the lab, and that is the largest resolution on the CD. The file size for each image is around 600-900kb. I can either email them or put them up on a web site for download. I don't have room for them all on my current web site, but I will put them up by request.

If you are interested in a print, email me with the file name of the picture and the size(s) you are interested in. I will let you know what it will cost to get them made. These will be actual photographic prints from the negative, not printed from the scan on a photo printer.

A few thoughts on having someone be the official photographer at future events:

First - the person should probably not be participating in the event. If they are, they should have help. It would be a shame to miss some shots because the photographer is tied up with their car.

Second - think out before hand WHAT you want the photographer to take pictures of. For example: setup; cars arriving; cars being prepped; cars ready for judging; cars being judged; winners getting and with their awards; winners with their awards by their cars; etc. The photographer will probably have their own ideas, but it is important to let them know what you want from them.

Finally - determine distribution/pricing ahead of time. This was the first time I've taken pictures at a car show, and did them for my own use. I wasn’t thinking about or planning for reprints/distribution at the time. There is a minimum expense in doing this that would need to be covered. If the pictures are taken with a digital camera, the base expense will be lower.

All,

I need some pics sent to me for the newsletter. I would like to be able to crop and modify them a little so I don't want to pull them off the SCC website. I also need a list of the winners and what place they took? Any help this weekend would be greatly appreciated. Any pics you may want to see in the newsletter would need to be sent to me this weekend.

Please send them here: mrmach@cetlink.net

Thanks a bunch for the help. ;)

Tony, the pictures on the website are smaller versions of what we have... the first batch with SouthCentral Cobra's branding is mine (the original resolution is 2048*1536), the middle batch (of 96 photos) with the black border are Bartman01's, he stated his resolution above, and the last batch with the SouthCentral Cobra's branding are Mikes ( I think the resolution on his is 640*480)... I don't know all the winners, Mike took the list home with him after the show.. and as far as the winner shots, Sherri has those but shes out of town and will be back by monday...

pick out the shots you like and we will get you the originals (as long as the photographers are okay with it)

I like this shot by Bartman01... its a very good shot in my ex-photographer opinion...

Since I'm a little computer illiterate, do you right click on the picture and save it? How do I get it to my adobe photo deluxe program? Thanks....

Firme

Tony, when you pull up Bartman01 link, you can click on each picture to get the full sized version, right click on it, click 'save as', and save the file where you want it stored... as far as Acrobat, Im assuming you type everything in word first?? if so you just in Word, click on menu iten 'Insert' then click 'picture' then click 'from file' and navigate to the file... I hope that helps, if I am way off base on what you asking, give me some more details as to what you are having trouble with and I will try to help...
