There have been no posts in the last 30 days in this forum.

No posts in the 5.0 Forum?!

Let's see...what can I post...hmmm. :doubt:

I have a 5.0 that just turned 35,000mi. It is my second 5.0 Cobra...I had a 94 before this one. I've enjoyed them both. Both of my 5.0's are stock, which is fine by me.

Okay...someone else post something! ;)

Well, I'll have a few posts if I ever get my motor back from the engine builder. It's frustrating as hell waiting on someone else to get their butt in gear.

Hmmm, maybe I should have asked a bunch of questions and built the motor myself. ;)

I'm also helping a friend get his SC '94 Cobra track ready. I don't know the first thing about superchargers so I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions when we finally get going on that. I know it has a Vortech and also some kind of boost/spark advance knob under the dash. We ordered a huge Griffith radiator with a 1 1/2 quart oil cooler built in. I know SC engines create a lot more heat so we figured we should start there. We are looking to make around 330-340 rwhp so we may have to go to a different pulley. I guess we won't know until we weigh the car and get it on a dyno.

I have 66,000 miles on my all stock 94 Cobra. Best daily driver I ever had!

Wow! But that's just "mid-life" for the 5.0's, isn't it? Don't they go an easy 200,000mi w/ some care and minimal abuse?

What I wonder is how many miles the DOHC motors will go under simular conditions. I've read about one or two 32 valvers hitting 100,000mi...but don't know how they made out after that.

How many miles did it have when you bought it? And when did you get it? I think you got your 94 about the same time I got my 94...

Hitting 330 rwhp should be no problem at all. With only basic mods (full exhaust and a power pipe) I was seeing 350 rwhp at 10# of boost. I'm sure with a good tune I would have had 375-380.

Should be mid-life. I am sure the engine is going to out live my T5.

That's what I am kinda worried about. I think it might have too much horsepower. (Did I just say that?!) Because of the AI power to weight ratio, I have to keep it in a certain range. We may have to go to a different pulley.

I bought my 94 in January 2002 and it had 60,770 miles on it when I bought it. ;) I put 6,000 miles on it in a year.

I bought mine 17 months ago with 74k on it. I always seem to put alot of miles on cars. I really gotta get the daily beater running again.

Howdy!

Unlike you guys, Im not in the position to have a Cobra right now...:( I will ONE DAY! BUT...Here's my baby....I myself will be turning over 110 K in another 80 miles in my '94 GT....this week, I"M SURE! ;)

This is my daily driver.....shes been great, unfortunately now, I'm needing some things done to it...that are not for fun. Hopefully in the next couple of months, I'll be able to do them!
My therapy is cleaning it....Specially the engine, the favorite part of my car, next to my side exaust! And I drive it w/ pride!

Dean, what is the hp target? How many pounds of boost is he seeing now?

If my Weight estimations are close, we would need about 330rwhp. To be honest, I'm not sure how many pounds of boost he is running. At this point, we have unloaded the car from the car carrier, driven it around a few miles to make sure everything seemed OK, and then it's been sitting in his garage eversince. He is getting a small workshop built and he wants to wait till its finished before we work on the car.

I know it does have a boost gauge so hopefully we will be able to get some indication of the amount.

Well my 94 Cobra Indy pace car has over 116k miles... Bought it 2 1/2 years agos with 80K miles. Was daily driver till about 3 months ago when I finally got a beater. Only have bolt ons, valve cover has never been off and got 254 rwhp & 305 rwtq @ 114k miles, not too bad. I will be removing the original T-5 shortly for a rebuild or if $$ comes avalible getting a 3550.

I got my first Mustang in September of 2002. It is a 1990 GT w/ 5 speed. Totally stock now except for K&N. I'm absolutely loving this car and hope to drag race it at a track soon.

Rest assured, I stole it from somewhere else.
