Alright.. the coarse has been set for the cruise this weekend...

couple of last minute reminders:

-if you have a camera or a video camera, please try to bring it, cause we need as much video and pictures as possible.

-please bring a motorola Talkabout, put it on channel 8 (8.0 if you have the expensive "secure" one), if you don't have one, let us know, some people have spares... this will keep everyone in touch during the trip

-try to bring a set of casual (non jeans and T) clothes, as the restaurant we are dining at is semi elegant. As of right now, we have 30 reservations, so everyone has a seat unless you do not wish to go, let us know.

-try to show up to the meeting spot with a full tank of gas.

On Saturday (March 8th), we meet at 10:00 a.m. at I H O P (http://rd.yahoo.com/maps/insert/extmap/*-http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?&country=us&uz=&Pyt=Typ&name=International+House-Pancakes&desc=(281)+469-0430&addr=13335+Fm+1960+Rd+W&city=Houston&state=TX&zip=77065&mag=8) (click the name to see the map). From here we will set out on 290 northbound, and meet Mike by the Hwy 6 split by College Station (if he is a good camera man, we will have some good video footage of us cruising in).

The full pack will set out on 290, passing through Brenham. We will exit 237, and continue till we get to Round Top, where we will eat lunch at Landhaus Ramsey, german cuisine restaurant. After lunch, and some picture time, we will set out on 237 and drive till we hit La Grange (a huh huh huh haaah). After La Grange, we will take 71 up, through Bastrop, and continue till we hit 969 (hehe, yes, I know Bart, I said 69).

We will continue on 969, with the scenic river twistie drive (we hope) till we hit 35. Then we will take 35 north, till we roll to Ceasar Chavez, and the hotel is right there. At this point, we hope to have met up with Race Rat (if the dyno is still going on, we will cruise on to the dyno shop) and others. Dinner will be at 8, the dress will be evening casual ( no jeans, or T's).

After eating, we will hit 6th street, hopefully meeting up with some Austin Stangers and Cobra owners that are supposed to meet us out (if they wanna join us for dinner, that is great, just let us know so we will have enough seats).

Sunday, checkout is at 12 noon. We have decided that we pick the return route at that time. Depending on how people feel, we might take the same scenic route back, or just cut on down 290, stopping somewhere to eat.

well, the general consensus is that this thing is on regardless of the weather, but we all would like it to be nice cruising weather.

Looks like our plans have shifted a bit and we will be able to join the cruise afterall. It will be good to see everyone again. We cannot stay the night in Austin but look forward to the cruise and meeting the folks in Austin.

P.S. Tony wants to make the "Austin Cruise" a cover article for the next newsletter - so everyone put you best shine on.

Need all of the photos we can get - one will be the cover photo for the April newsletter.

Just a few last minute questions.
Is the restaurant we will be at Sat. walking distance or will we have to drive?
Then what about going out after dinner, will we have to drive?

Roy's is .2 miles from the hotel, and 6th streest is about the same distance, so everything is within walking distance since the hotel is in a prime spot..

P.S. eveyone don't forget to bring something evening casual for the restaurant (IE no jeans or T-shirt)
