A 1966 Mustang Coupe!!!:rotf: It's a staight six, 3 spd. needs alot of work but it runs. Have to redo brakes before I can drive it, and adjust valves. Then I'll drive until I'm ready for the V8 swap.

Cool.. Congrats on the purchase... :)
Do a disc brake converstion, much much better than drums all the way around. On the 6 to 8 conversion, all suspension needs to be swapped as the 6 suspension and brakes are smaller and weaker than the V-8's. Check http://www.vintage-mustang.com/trivia.html for a lot of info and http://forums.stangnet.com/ for good info.
Good places for parts is Mustang Mania in Katy & Johns Mustang. I have a friend that sells Mustang parts also.

I'll take pics in next couple of days. Thanks for the info Darrell. I knew I would have to upgrade suspension and brakes. Just want to get it fixed for now so I can DRIVE IT!! Needs inspection sticker, but won't pass right now. Has one of the worst paint jobs I've seen, but body is in good condition. We'll swing by your place this weekend Christine! But probably in the Jeep.
