hey just dynoed my 2001 ford cobra. note dynoed on dyna packs
i'm kinda disappointed i have a vortech intercooled sytem on it and a 65mm throttle body. and i only pushed 392.8 @6500.
it would have broken 400 hp @7000rpm(cutoff) but it would
have been bearley over. does any one have numders ona pretty much stock superchareged with this same unit. also when they dynoed your car what gear did the use(they used fourth on my mine because it was the closest to one to one. also does any one now the loss precentge threw the driveline. i've heard from anywhere 10% to 25% percent on manuals. to figure for @ fly horsepower. i would think this car shoiuld be pushing around 425- 450hp.

I THINK THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM !!!!!!!

On my stock block with bassani x-pipe and catback with the chip tuned properly I pulled 452 rwhp and 398 ft lbs of torque. This was on a Dyno Jet and was SAE corrected. The number I hear MOST often for driveline loss through the IRS is 17 percent. Hope this helps! :D

I wish I had a problem with almost 400 horses. :(

For a stock Cobra with a stock Vortech SC-trim blower, 390-410 rwhp is the norm....so anywhere in between is perfectly acceptable. Adding exhaust mods, powerpipes, dyno-tuning, smaller pulleys, etc...will all up the power.

Your numbers sound dead-on.

TCREWS -- is that 390-410 rwhp with or without aftercooler?

Thanks

Without a dyno-tune (using the supplied chip from Vortech) it's going to be about the same for either. They tune towards the safe end and the aftercooler really helps in letting you add more timing.

A stock exhaust system is a huge restriction, changing that and the numbers will go up significantly.
