Thanks John, I had all the intention of the world to be there. We were looking good on the motor till we double checked the rocker preload after the motor got assembled from SHM. The preload is too much and we have to tear the heads off to mill the valves. I'll know more by Tuesday, but it doesn't look good. I have to run my other car this weekend at Road America and it is a two day race so I won't get back to work on it till Monday. You just need to make the drive to take my place just in case.;)

Yep, I doo believe so. I've had a few bugs but I think I've got them figured out. Time will tell.

Wish you were coming to mix it up with us. :)

Yeah, you may be right. :p

Yeah, I got it at home. Not sure what's happening with the work addy.

Still up in the air about the headers. Time and money are at a minimum right now. :(

Yeah...sorry to say I'll only be doing the HPDE thing. Plans are to do my Comp school at BeaveRun in Aug. Maybe I'll be door to door (at least for the few seconds it takes for you to go flying by) by the end of the season.
Unless you want to pull a few strings for me ~lol~

Dean:

There is actually a product on the market called "Cool (or maybe Kool) Tubing" made just for your situation. I can't remeber where I saw it I'll try to dig up the dirt on it.

I have had the same problem in my AGS car because of the long tube headers. Since I have wrapped my cable with cool techs wrap, I haven't had any problems since. Just a thought.

Things are looking better and we might make the race!

After an exhaustive search....here ya go Dean.....this is the stuff!

Summit has it!

I've used the cool tube stuff on my fuel lines on the '95R. They are not made to have direct contact with the heat source.

I have some header wrap and some other stuff to try so hopefully that will do the trick.

Mark - I hope you can make it!
