I know me and Steve both want to get ours done. Hes not had it done since the Kenny Bell, and I'd like to get an Air/fuel Ratio on mine...
If ya'll do get it together, I just hope its not on day where theres something else going on and we cant make it!! :( Seems like we have the worst luck hooking up w/ the Dyno Dayz..... :(

Count us in other wise!!!

What exactly is the purpose of Dyno???? What exactly do they do and how long does it take. I am interested in getting my snake dynoed since I have heard conflicting stories on HP on the 93's;)

1. Check you HP of your engine.
2. It takes about 30mins each car so it depends where you are on the list.
3. Have a nice day ;) ;) ;)

I was gonna plan for the 6th, but many are going up to Motorsport Ranch. Maybe we can get one going for the 13th?? Is that gonna be too cold for a dyno?? Not sure if it matters at all.

The colder, the better for me. The HEaton's love the cold air. My car was tuned in 30 degree weather last jan.

The 13th would have been COOL! Ive got a friend of mine from Rice Haters from CHICAGO coming down to visit me that weekend...originally from Mustang Works...
We have not 'officially' met yet, and she just joined this board a few weeks ago, and just lurks...would have been cool to do the Dyno the w/e that she's here...would have loved for her to meet everyone...
But...whatever ya'll come up with is cool.....just keep kicking it around! :) and too...I dont think it will be too cold then, I remember TOO many December weekends in SHORTS! lol ;) better than being too HOT! ;)

Ya'll are more than welcome to do the 13th, if someone wants to head it up. I don't want to head it up since I won't be there the whole time. Just call up Slater's and see about getting it rolling. I may come down for the dyno after my test, I need a good baseline read on my new engine. Maybe Darrell or David will head it up.

If you want, I can go by Slaters Tuesday and see if he will do a dyno day on Dec 13, and get specifics about how many cars are needed & price.

That would be good Darrell, otherwise its getting to close to the 13th to wait any longer

I finally got with Slatters on doing a dyno day. He needs 20 cars min and set a price of $35.00 for 2 pulls with NO wide band O2 and add $10.00 to that for wide band O2 reading. He has gone up on prices from last time.

Still want to do it at Slatters Mustang in Humble?????

God, $10 more to stick a sensor up the pipe? Maybe if we bring 30 cars we can get a discount? Post it on FP. That should do it.

its basically a way to find out the Air to Fuel ratio you car is burning.

wide band read your Air fuel throughout the rpm range. It tell you weather the car is running "Lean" (too much air) or "Rich" (too much Fuel). Its a usefull thing to know because running rich can hinder performance and running lean can hinder performance and blow an engine in certain circumstances. Usually when you modify your car, your Air/fuel could change.
