Hard core OT people you should think about installing this oil pan....It's the same pan Ford installed on the 00R. It holds 9.5qts of oil.

Better be careful at TWS with that, see what Joe did??
"Joe ended up cutting his day short when he developed a leak in his oil pan late in the day. He apparently was bottoming out coming into 1 alot and it shaved down the lip on the back side of the pan.. and it developed a leak."

Just wanted to give ya a heads up. Looks good man.

From what I remember Andy saying, I think Joes car was REALLY REALLY low to the ground....

I wanna say he has the Steeda X2 balljoints which drop the front 1/2" but didn't use their kit that raises it back up 1/2"....

don't quote me on that though, I'm sure Andy or Joe can correct me here...

thats the beauty of coil-overs...one can heed the warnings, learn from others, and avoid slamming the car down on turn 1A by adjusting them , a luxury conventional spring don't offer :D :bounce:

The 00R motor sits lower than the 03 ;) My oil pan sits even with the k-member and I think my k-member brace would be the first thing to go...See pic

It helps keep the oil in the pan and away from the crankshaft...

Werd

without one, the crank lobes get oil all over them (more than needed) and it adds to the rotating mass of the crank... thus robbing power

I have the same oil pan on my '01 and I also have an oil cooling system and my Vortech uses the oil from the oil pan during operation. It took 10 quarts to fill it up the last time! AND YES IT'S MORE EXPENSIVE! :D ;)

Got the Canton in at Nathanials, the only thing we are concerned about is how it will fit with the headers and exhaust. Hope it works like the extra insurance.

Got the Canton at Nathanials looks good. You can run your Oil temp guage straight from the pan. Also I have been told that the 03 have a windage tray which can be used in the Canton. Any comments on this.

:( I didn't see one....There is an oil deflector for the crank that is welded to the pickup tube maybe they think that's the windage tray?? I think the cost for one is about $50+another oil pan gasket... See pic
