Just wondering about which shifter, heard good things a bout tri ax. But what about the B & m and the pro 5.0?
Just got a bone stock 96 with 30k on it and would like to start with a shifter.
Thanks in advance
JB

Thanks, sounds like the pro 5.0 with the MGW handle is the way to go.

Jeff,

I use the tri-ax and am very happy with it. BTW, how did you get such a long number in your member number area? :)

no idea why the number is so long. Thats the one they gave me. Thanks for the tri ax comment. The only thing that has steered me away was the complaints of excessive noise from the shifter.

Jeff,
all aftermarket shifters are going to make more noise than the stock one. I have the pro 5.0 and love it! Nice ratchety feel, and solid shifts. I kept the handle that came with the shifter, and used the stock leather knob to retain the "stock" look. One would really have to try to miss 3rd with this shifter!!

thanks,
I definitely intend to do the pro 5.0. and I'm happy to hear you used the stock handle and knob. I also like the stock look.
Noticed your in Manchester, I'm 20 miles away in Milford Nh.
See Ya
