If my memory serves me right, and it usually doesn't, it seems like the SCMC sponsored an event a few years back where people could drive their cars for a small fee at an abandoned air field or something like that. Does anybody remember that, or am I dreaming? I think it was in NC.

What I'm looking for is a place to legally test a car, like an American Iron race car, that is not street legal. I would prefer not to rent a road course for a day as we all know what that costs. I also don't have my competition license yet, so I can't go to the test and tune days at the tracks. Drag strips wouldn't work because how well the car goes straight really isn't as much of a concern as cornering.

Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hey, I bet you got some connections that can get me in there for a day or two of testing. :D

It's Maxton, NC. I can't remember who actually sponsored it, but seems like it was a hayabusa club. One of them went over 240mph!

You don't have any contact information for the place do you? I did a quick search and didn't find anything...

I found it!

Here is the website for the people who actually run it.
