Hello Mustang owners, I am looking for some information on 1997 to 2004 Mustang Models. If you could please read the post.

I make Deck Lid mats for the Grand Am, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Impala and Corvette.

My brother has a 97 and his son has a 2002. I was not sure what years are the same deck lid. If you could answer this post it would help a lot.

I have called several dealers but I get so many answers its not funny and before I can have them added to a website for sell I need to make sure the people are getting the right item for there model.

Thanks Phil Madren of Grand Design.

I would post a pic, but not sure how on this site.

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to, but I'll give a shot at answering your question ;)

The decklid or I would say you're talking about the "trunk" of the newer Mustangs are essentially the same from 94-98. There are some differences between the 94-95 Cobras but the shape is still the same. With the change of sheet metal on the newer cars (99-present) the trunklid changed with the rest of the car.

On the inside of the trunks whether it be coupe or convertible the cargo area is exactly the same from 94-present. I would say if you were making a "trunk mat" for the inside then the same thing should work for anything made in 94 and after.

I hope this helps... if you could possilbly be a bit more specific I'll try to help you some more

Shannon

I wish I could post some pics, but not sure how on this site.

The mat mounts to the bottom of the Trunk DECK LID and for example on the Mustang it would have GT, or SVT or something like that. Is there a email I can email a pic to you.

Phil,
when you hit the post reply button, scrool down below the box you type the message in. In the box below on the left it will say "options:", right under that it says "attach file:" and to the right of that is a white rectangle box with a "browse" button to the right of it. click the browse button, go to the area you stored the pic in your computer (ie: my doccuments, or 3 1/2 floppy) and open the file. when you are done click submit reply and the pic will be posted:thumbsup:

Well I looked for this Browse area and I don't have a option to select. I have a option but cannot open it. Maybe I am locked out.

I'm a :retard:

I should have looked at your request and read what you were trying to do.

Ok when I said try it now, its because I enabled the option in this forum(Carolinas) now for people to be able to use the "IMG" option. Above the area where you type, there is a grey button with the words "IMG" on it, when you click it, you can put a URL (internet address) to a picture and it will appear in your post.

As far as the ATTACH FILE feature, that is only available for SCMC club members. Sorry, :( but you can just as easily show a picture in your post using the IMG option, its just that you have to have it hosted somewhere on the internet and have an address to it.

But, there are plenty of free hosts out there that you can sign up on that let you have your files hosted. Check out http://www.mustangmods.com/ it will get the job done and is a great site (my friend runs it), just make sure to follow the rules there.

Most of my mats on websites run anywhere from 64.00 to 96.00. It all depends on the sites. I only make a few bucks on them after paying out everything. The sites make the money. The mustang mats will sell on from me until they are picked up by a site that would like to sell them. I sell mats on the side from 55.00 to 76.00

I have to get a pattern made for the cars. The SVT, COBRA, and GT have the same decklid for the same years?

I have 79-93 are the same, 94 to 98 are the same and 99- to 04 are the same? CORRECT.....

My brother has a 98, his step son to be has a 03 Cobra. I am thinking on doing a SVT, GT, and Cobra decklid. I cannot really tell how many people would like one of these.

The price includes the shipping. ALso once these mats are made the price may be lower. It should take less material and etc... for your mats. The mustang mat looks like it may be the size of the Grand Am mat. The are cheaper than the Grand Prix and Monte Carlo.

Also what do you think about this item? Do you think it would work on a Mustang on the Headrest of the seat , or does the mustangs have this type of headrest?
