I am buying these for the coupe but want to know if anyone has some tires for these?
Also does anyone know the width on these, I think they are '99 cobra rims!

Let me know!

99-01 wheels - they are 8" wide and 245 is the stock (and mfg recommended) width of the tires.

Yep.....99-02 Cobra rims. 17x8 but don't you need a 5-lug conversion?? 245's will fit fine, but I'd recommend some 255's up front and 275's out back.

255's are really the widest tires you should run on an 8" rim. Just because you *can* put a 275 on there doesn't mean you *should*. Personally I defer to mfg sizing charts, and I have yet to see a low profile 275 that is speced for an 8" rim. That means that you loose the mfg tire warrante since you are running the tire outside of it's designed application. If you really want to run 275's get the 03 cobra wheels instead.

Here is a good writeup of oversize vs. undersize tires - http://corner-carvers.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4254

Also - FYI on running different widths front and back. If your car tends to push (understeer) as most mustangs do, then running wider tires in the back will just accentuate this. Unless you are drag racing you are usually better off getting the same size all the way around on a stock mustang setup.
