I have been having some grounding problems since the battery re-locate and the wiring problems I've been having with the Inertia Switch, last night I switched the battery back to the front of the car and started it up to get to a friends shop and poof!!!!!! Flames from under the hood! I was able to pull it over and pour what was left of my bottle of water on it and a good sameratan came along and ahd a fire extensihire( sp) and help put it out! After triple A towed it home for me ( for free) My plans for Fun Ford Weekend and Prob. StangBang are Gone with the wiring on my car!
It burnedup every bit of wire around the cylinoid, the coil, and some other crap(MSD box)!!!!

Joey let me know if you are looking for a harness. I believe I still have mine from my 89LX. Let me know if you are interested. I will keep it out of the swap meet pile.

No April Fools, Just Got a call from Bumbera's and it is going to need an entire front Harness and cost me $1247.31 just to get it back running!

There goes my head money that was for the AFR's!!

It needs a new coil, Battery, New cables, New harness( for the engine), New MSD, New headlight Harness and he wants to run "his own wires" for the fuel pump!
Oh, Well- Guess, i'll have to drive the truck and just look at the stang in the garage for awhile!

The $1247.31 is for all the parts and Labor, Because I "don't do wiring"

I had a bad Experience!!!!!!!

Don't ask!

Sorry to hear about your car. Didn't know if you know this, MSD will repair the box for $25.00 to $50.00. Just give them a call and they will tell you where to send it. $1200.00 to fix that seems a little steep to me. The wiring harness is not that hard to replace, everything just plugs right in.

Joey,

Have you gotten a second or even a third price from other places? I know Kenny Bumbera personally... they have done a lot of work on my R... and they are one of the best in town... however, they can get pricey at times!

I would just shop around ... find out what the parts cost first.. then price out the labor separately...

keep us posted!

man, I am sorry this happened to you ... but it could have been much worst!
