I've got a few questions? What were the production numbers for a 1997 triple black snake convertible? I know that there were like 1108 black snakes, but of those 1108 or so, how many were convertibles? Also, how do I find out what number mine is? I know the VIN# won't help much, because that's all Mustangs built in 97, correct? Thanks

OK, I made a mistake. There were 1180 Black Cobra convertibles. OK, of that 1180, how many were made as the triple black option? Or does anyone even know? Thanks

Yes! That did help. It says 840 triple black verts were built in 97. Everyone told me that the triple black was a hard to find car. According to that site you gave me, that seems to be the greatest color combo for 97.... :doubt:

1997 Cobra Convertibles
Black(ext) Black(top) Black Leather(int) 840
Black(ext) Black(top) Black Cloth(int) 14

Do you have the SVT Certificate? If not you can call SVT for a new one that will show you your production number.

A friend of mine has #3 of the 1997 triple black cobra verts produced for that year.

Cool!!  A lot of good info there, kinda fun! You'll have to call SVT to get your certificate. I've got mine framed and hanging on the wall. Gonna get the snake grille emblem and then put the horse on the wall next to it. :woot:  :burnout: :fordflag:

I haven't got a certificate with my car. So, how do I get ahold of the SVT people to get the certificate? I take it, I give them the VIN#? Thanks

The SVT headquarters phone number is 800-367-3788, fax is 313-621-2500. You may have to fax a copy of your title. Ask for the SVT Owners Certificate.

Good Luck!!  :woot:

I never thought about displaying my horse. (Mine is in a box in the attic.) GOOD IDEA!

Yeah, get him out of the attic! I was thinking of putting him on the wall and then Winddysvt clinched the idea for me, so I can't take all the credit! :bounce:
